WARNING : LONG POST / 10:14 PM

now i shall blog properly about COALs camp.

1st Day

planned to meet min early early to do our 'stuff'. we met at 6 okay! and my awesomest most awesome darling came all the way to school just to pass me the house tshirt! omg darling you're really so awesome. i love you! :D aaaaanywayyyy saw falcon. and two instructors. then we waited and one by one charlie started arriving. oh and ohhhhh! you know the poster outside school!? guess who's face is there!! ahhhhh ZOMG. :D so we went to stage area. the place where we sat at for our first ever charlie meeting. got our notebooks and identities [which are so CUTEE!] from marlene and kimberly. then instructors came and they briefed us shortly cos they had to leave soon to do their instructor stuff. so all of us campers went to th hall and waited there for further instructions. in the meantime, instructors gave us permission to practice campfire item. and charlie chop-ed th stage! HAHAHA. okay anyway, yes we practiced and everything and then after a while th buses came so we all left.

sat with min in the bus and instructor vanessa [:D] and instructor wen min were behind us. min and i were like talking abt the presents and we had to talk real soft so that instructor vanessa [:D] couldnt hear us. and then we were bored so we started reading off random signs. hahaha. min you rly can become a newsreader la. haha. yea then we were so excited when we saw the flyer. HAHA. like so deprived. then we reached the campsite and everyone assembled. and then after all the briefing and everything, they told us our dorm arrangements. it was so freaking sad cos charlie had to be split up. and at first it was supposed to be 6 in one dorm and 6 in the other. but then they say that they changed it and now it was 3 in one dorm and 9 in the other. which was worse! D: and we were like so sad but what to do. no choice right. accept it, yo. so kimberly, min and me decided to be the 3 people.

after setting down and everything, we had belay school. it went well. (: and charlie had to run for kitchen duty and we were late. but the other group which was supp to report also was late. and we explained to instructor jia hui that we had belay school and she said okay. so phew. then we had to wash hands and everything and wear gloves and masks and start serving. they had cold drinks! but very little given per person. and i was serving veggies and when the instructors came, they all like purposely turn away from me cos they didnt want the veggies. then i didnt know what to do but thank god they turned back to get it in the end but told me to put super little. so i put little and then instructor jia hui came and scolded me. like not the shouting shouting scolding. phew. then after we served, we quickly quickly ate and everything.

and after tht, alpha bravo and CHARLIE! had high elements. then we went splitted up into Charlie1 and Charlie2. the attached instructor for th group i was in was instructor yolanda. some of the stations required balancing and for some, you really must hold on to the rope tightly. i felt kind of disappointed with myself for not being able to complete the swinging tires station but what kimberly said sort of made me feel better. thanks yo! :D my fingers hurt like hellllll after that. i couldnt even bend them the next day.

so after high elements, we had outdoor cooking. we divided the work and everything and started off. cassandra, min, and me were trying to cut th pumpkin. then cassandra and me were trying to peel the skin. and instructors were watching us and they were kind of scared cos we were peeling the skin quite dangerously. heh. the food was nice! :D YAY FOR CHARLIE! i ate one piece of pumpkin and gave the rest to min. heehee. instructor lisa [:D] also said that th food was nice! :D

and thennn, after we had our showers, instructors wanted to meet all the groups who did outdoor cooking. there were two leaders there. and alpha, bravo, and charlie got scolded cos we used our own utensils to cook and didnt scrub the mess tins properly. but we [charlie] felt quite upset cos we rly made sure we used the utensils provided to cook and min and me spent three quarters of our eating time to scrub the remaining mess tins and the two of us even helped alpha and bravo to wash the mess tins that they left behind. but we didnt protest or anything cos we knew la, that all of us did it together so all of us get scolded together. but i think charlie's instructors [who ROCK! btw]could see that we were sad cos after that when kimberly and me were at sentry duty with instructor lisa [:D] and instructor vanessa [:D], instructor lisa [:D] told us that its okay they know that the fault didnt lie with us. thankyou instructor lisa! :D

before sleeping, the three of us in the separated dorm went to meet the others and the moment i stepped into their dorm, everyone was like, happy birthday! i was like, omg thankyou so much! :D ya then before sentry duty, i cldnt sleep cos i was scared we will oversleep and then go late for duty. i think i fell asleep at around 0120 and then kim was waking me up at 0145 alr. grahh. during the duty, we were super dead and mosquito's kept attacking us. grahhh. but it was fun la. although we kept checking our watches every 5 mins. HAHA. i knocked out after duty and woke up to the noisy dorm. bahh.

2nd Day

after breakfast, we had initiative games and alpha bravo and CHARLIE! were mixed up. i was in group 1! we went for initiative games first. instructor lydia [:D] and instructor elisha were in charge of the games. i think the solutions that we came up with for the games were quite funny. like the pencil one! i think it was so cute. and the flyer. hahahahahaha. the table too! but the esplanade was abit the not looking like esplanade ah. heh. then after tht we had rockwall and i made it to the top! awesomeeeee(: it was kinda fun la. hehhhh. then during rockwall, i was holding the helmet and then instructor called me and in my haste i accidently put the helmet the wrong way on the floor. and i totally forgot abt it until instructor danae [:D] came there and she was like, "WHO put the helmet this way?" in that dangerous kind of tone. and my face went like, oh shitttttt and i was damn scared and my heart felt ike it was gg to jump out because just now she said that if she sees anyone putting the helmet that way, she will make sure that person gets it from her. and she saw my oh shitttt expression and asked me whether it was me. and i was too scared to speak and i just nodded. but omg thank god she didnt shout. i'm really sorry instructor danae! D:

after that was abseiling! i was like, one of the last to go down and instructor lisa [:D] was on top and she was asking us to pass her the gloves and the figure of eight descender after all of us finish cos she really wanted to abseil down. so i said i will. heh. i went down twice. once on the tougher one,and another time on the easier one. and after that, was ZIPLINE! i was so excited for it la! so i waited waited waited and FINALLY it was my turn. i was waiting upstairs and talking to min and instructor lisa [:D] in the meantime. hehhh. it was quite scary to step into the air from the platform but after i jumped, it went WHOOOOOOSH! and i shouted "I LOVE CHAAAAAAAAAAAAARLIEEEEEEEEEE!" haha yay! then after that must bring the rope back to the base of the building there so i volunteered to run and instructor lisa [:D] said she'll run back with me and we started racing against each other! hahahha it was so cool! i could have won okay. its just that the rope i was holding was pulling me. haha nevermind.

after zipline, we had lunch, and then low elements. instructor lydia [:D] was with us this time. we went to do bouldering and i couldnt climb properly cos my fingers were really hurting very badly after the day before. atikah so pro! she's really good at this kind of thing. heh. then we went to th balancing beam. and instructor lydia [:D] felt that we were too dead [haha we were veryy dead] and she made us jump and wave our hands and shout "WE ARE HYPER" 10 times. so after that activity then i think we ran back to do the popcorn thing which didnt go very well for charlie. its okay dears. we know we tried(:

after that, we had wilderness. we walked all the way to labrador park, jogging at times and split up into 4 sub groups per group. and we had some activities and then after everything when it was time to go back, marlene said she sprained her ankle or something like that. so i stayed back to walk with her and th two of us slowly walked back to camp with instructors. i had to run and bathe and everything cos i was very very late alr. ahh/

after that was campfire. it was awesome! :D but charlie was in a upset sort of mood for th 2nd half of it cos of ..... ya..

before sleeping, we met instructors outside the dorm and then i had my poem with me. so i stood up and started reciting it to them. and the 1st part went okay but then i started crying so hard, i cldnt continue alr. and then instructor lydia [:D] came and put her arm around me and i managed to finish the last part of the poem. all of us were crying alr. and the fact that instructors were crying also, and what happened during campfire made us cry more.

then, a few things happened. and after that, we went to sleep.

3rd Day

BIG SWEEP. instructor caroline said that charlie must split up so 6 of us clean toilet 3 then the other 6 clean outdoor cooking area. so cassandra, min, brenda, atikah, boonhui and me became the toilet people. and they told us who wld be attached to us. and when i heard who wld be with us, i went :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D *times infinity*

aaaaaaaanywayyyyyy, we went to clean, and it wasnt that dirty actually. just that, the floor was so dirty. and we strted singing alot of songs and then we opened th toilet door cos instructors were sitting outside and sang to them, "i'm on the top of the world!" chorus. awwww. then we were singing three love songs and they asked us to create a charlie version of the songs. in 10 mins. so, we came up with this! :

We were jogging along,
at labrador park,

and remember not to drag your feet
For every grain of rice upon the plate i've got to wipe it clean
Or else the sink will choke
and then we have to clean it up.

later on, all groups were in the parade square. and charlie was sitting down, and i told them what a memorable birthday i had with them. and i'll never forget this birthday and halfway thru i started crying again. and OMG they started singing happy birthday and i started crying even more until i was shaking and shaking. and instructor lisa [:D] came over and gave me a hug! :D so nice of her. (: yupp. we went back to school with delta, indigo, instructor vanessa [:D] and instructor wen min and ms siew [sp?] and we sang all sorts of crazy stuff on the way back.

and then, when we reached,

CHARLIE WON MOST TOUCHING CAMPFIRE ITEM AWARD! :D :D :D
actually we were quite surprised that we got it cos we really didnt think that we had a touching play. and then, we opened instructors' gift. when min opened it up, all of us were rly speechless. it looked so nice and we were so touched. after being officially dismissed, instructors wanted to talk to us. when instructor danae was like, okay count strength for th last time, my eyes were alr glistening and i was trying to hold back my tears. and then we put instructors in the middle of the circle and hugged them.

and then, we said thank you instructors for the very last time.
